Some pics from the ‘Best of Arts’ event at Kilton Thorpe Special School to celebrate the achievements of students who have benefited from 3 years of Specialist Arts Status funding. Club Creative is delighted to have been involved with the school over the last 2 years and hopes to help the school access funding to continue the good work that has been done by staff Kate Watson, Adam Reamswood and Ben Hopkinson as well as the dozens of artists that have worked with the students. Here is a short film that captures our Step Up 7 transition summer school in Pickering and Nawton, North Yorkshire. Thanks to Lady Lumley’s and Rydale Schools for helping us put on an amazing week of activities for over 200 children. Thanks to Night Thief Films for the footage.
Some gorgeous pics of Y10 students’ work from Freebrough Academy Brotton. The students are all disengaged and on alternative provision. Club Creative takes them out of school to Rigwood House and delivers practical hands on creative workshops. We have delivered 4 taster days so far which have been incredibly well received by students, teachers and parents. These items were created in just one day. All work will be sold at the Redcar Artists fair in Redcar centre.

The Young Carers who meet at the Junction Redcar designed the leaflet below with the help of Calm Digital. The leaflet is designed to attract more young carers to the project which offers them support guidance, and most importantly a break from their caring responsibilities.

Mosaic made for residents of the Yew Tree care home by young people attending 25K Youth Centre. The mosaic is now hung in the care home as a Christmas present from the young people.
Arts Stock at Kilton Thorpe Special School at the end of summer term 2010. Club Creative provided a range of artist to help this special school treat it’s students to a day to remember. From face painting and head massage to story telling, circus skills and drum circles the day had it all!
