The Plunge

I took part in the Plunge event  for the third time at Redcar Racecourse last week. Now in it’s fourth year this is a great event organised by the Working Knowlege Group.

Set over three days it works with hundreds of sixth formers to develop entrepreneurial skills and to open the door to perhaps starting their own business. I was one of the ‘experts’ who go to advise and then critique their business ideas in a Dragon’s Den style. It’s loads of fun and really beneficial to the students. Here is a short video about it. I’m on it for around 0.1 secs!

Being self employed

I have to say I have never felt so free and satisfied with my work situation as I do right now. Starting my own business is the best thing I have ever done! It’s very early days but seeing direct results from the effort you put in is addictive.
